EN_Co-fundedbytheEU_RGB_WHITE.png

DEADLINE:

17 MARCH 2025

Uncover the migration stories shaping the continent from the very heart of the European Union: the international city of Brussels!

Are you ready to magnify the diverse voices of Europe?

If so, the first event of VOICES is made for you!

FORMAT

Experiences from the Past, Lessons for Today: Migration Stories and Policy Insights in Brussels

You and your team will meet with people from a migrant background, interview them, and record their meaningful stories!

Your task will be to adapt their words into a digital testimony and expand it with photographs and/or a two-minute audio or video recording. Easy, right?

TOPICS

First (1950s-1970s) and second (1970s-1980s) waves of European migration

You will explore…

  • The history of the first and second phases of European migration

  • Interviewing and journalistic techniques in a dynamic workshop

  • Living libraries: An innovative method of dialogue

  • Content creation sessions + Audiovisual festival: Get creative!

A journey across generations & cultures takes off in Brussels!

WHO can join?

All university students (aged 18 to 30) living in an EU country.

WHAT is the plan?

Join forces in groups (Youth Squads) to transform real stories into meaningful change.

WHO ARE THE YOUTH SQUADS ?

The Youth Squads are exactly what they sound like! Squads, or teams, of young people that share a special mission: to champion the values of integration, active citizenship, and justice!

The Youth Squads will occupy a privileged position in the project - they will have a spot reserved in all three events and get the chance to take part to the second phase of the project by influencing policy-making through a High-Level Summit in Brussels in December 2025 and a Multicultural Festival in Italy in May 2026!

Are you willing to…

  • Be engaged during the entire project (March - December 2025)?

  • Participate in-person in all three international events?

  • Be a dedicated, present and enthusiastic team player?

If so, take the chance!
