Calling all changemakers!
Are you ready to vote in the next European elections?
If you still have doubts about how to vote or why, Gen Z Votes has you covered!
WHY SHOULD I VOTE?
Voting is always important: It is the best opportunity to have your say on topics you care about, because voting is the essence of democracy, where we decide together what needs to change.
Use your vote to get the European Union to focus on the issues important to you. Today, every important national and international topic has a European angle. Your vote influences how the European Union takes on these challenges.
Use your vote to decide which Members of the European Parliament will represent you! Their decisions will shape your daily life.
Use your vote to stand up for democracy! Democracy is not a given. If we don’t vote, we don’t get to choose our leaders, and the decisions they make won’t represent our views. The more of us who vote, the stronger democracy becomes.
What's the role of a Member of the European Parliament?
The Members of the European Parliament are there to represent you!
They approve laws that affect the lives of all citizens living under the European Union. They are organized not by countries but by political groups, and they are elected every 5 years by all EU citizens.
